Wylie East incoming senior defensive back Oghenerukevwe Eruvwetaghware gave a verbal commitment on Monday, July 21 to play college football for Arkansas State University.
Named to the All-District 9-6A second team during his junior season, Eruvwetaghware was a key cog in a Raiders’ secondary that held opponents to 17 points per game, forced 20 turnovers and helped lead Wylie East to a second consecutive 10-win season and a second playoff win in as many seasons.
Eruvwetaghware racked up 21 tackles and six passes defended.
Eruvwetaghware will join an Arkansas State team that went 8-5 during the 2024 season and defeated Bowling Green 38-28 in the G8 Ventures Bowl.
