The Wylie and Wylie East volleyball teams saw their seasons end in the regional semifinals Tuesday night.

Wylie put up a good fight against defending Class 6A state champion Grand Oaks. However, the Lady Grizzlies proved a little too much for the Lady Pirates in a 25-17, 25-18, 25-19 victory in a Region II-6A, Division I semifinals match from Leon High School.

Wylie East also showed a lot of grit, but the Lady Raiders were edged by College Park by scores of 25-19, 25-23 and 25-20 in a Region II-6A, Division II semifinals match from Leon High School.

Wylie (34-9) and Wylie East (34-9) finished the regular season as District 9-6A co-champion.
