Wylie F-R administers COVID-19 tests

Wylie Fire-Rescue last week administered, or helped to administer, almost 500 CO­VID-19 tests to nursing home residents and staff to fulfill a directive issued by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

The governor issued an order on May 11 for public health authorities to test nurs­ing home and residents. Those authorities were Texas Divi­sion of Emergency Manage­ment, Texas Commission on Fire Prevention, Texas Health and Human Services Com­mission and Texas Depart­ment of State Health Services.
