Wylie Chamber of Commerce recognized individuals and businesses for their contributions to the community in 2018 at the 42nd annual awards banquet held last week.
The banquet was Thursday, April 4, at the First Baptist Church Event Center downtown. In addition to the chamber honorees, Wylie civic organizations announced their award winners for the year.
Guests were welcomed by Chamber President Mike Agnew, invocation was offered by Kris Segrest, senior pastor at FBC, and a catered meal was provided. Emcee for the event was Jeff Denton, pastor of Waterbrook Bible Fellowship.
In addition to community awards, the banquet featured a live auction and rock-paper-scissors competition for a prize.
