by | Dec 28, 2018 | Latest

Christmas started poorly for a Wylie resident who was robbed at gunpoint in his home by two masked men.

The robbery took place in the 2800 block of Sutters Mill Way.

Police received a report at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, that a man had knocked on several doors in the neighborhood and on arrival officers learned that the man was the victim of a home invasion robbery, Sgt. Donald English said.

Investigation revealed that the man and his family entered their residence where they encountered two men inside who demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the two men fled in an automobile, English explained.

The suspects are described as a white or Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet in height, and the second as a black male, 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 4 inches in height. Both suspects were wearing all black clothing, including ski masks and gloves.

Anyone who observed any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area at the time of the robbery are asked to contact Wylie Police Department at 972-442-8171.
