Woman robbed after vehicle accident

by | Dec 28, 2018 | Latest

An 18-year-old Wylie woman was reportedly robbed on Christmas Eve when she was involved in a minor motor vehicle accident and the other driver demanded cash on the spot for damage to his vehicle.

The incident occurred about 5:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24 in the 300 block of W. FM 544 in Wylie.

After the accident, both drivers pulled into the parking lot of a store where she was intimidated into providing money for damages resulting from the minor wreck, Sgt. Donald English said.

The victim withdrew an undisclosed amount of cash from various ATM machines before the other driver allowed her to leave, the police sergeant explained.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches in height and wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey and beanie.

Investigation into the robbery is ongoing and anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact Wylie Police Department at 972-442-8171.
