Wylie City Council last week approved a zoning change to allow construction of a new North Texas Municipal Water District water operations center and put its stamp of approval on a thoroughfare plan.
The council convened in regular session Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the Municipal Complex on Country Club Road.
Other business included approval of Wylie Economic Development Corporation taking out a bank loan for $4.5 million as a component to a property acquisition and redevelopment project.
NTMWD Executive Director Tom Kula presented the request to rezone 5.032 acres at Lynda Lane and Forrest Ross Road from agricultural to planned development-business government to accommodate a planned water operations center.
