From Staff Reports
A Wylie man who taught piano lessons in his home entered guilty pleas this month on charges of sexual assault of a child and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Broderick Arpon, 46, was charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, a count of sexual assault of a child and three counts of indecency with a child. Arpon was arrested in January 2017 by Wylie Police.
The 46-year-old gave piano lessons at his home in the 1300 block of Summerdale Lane in Wylie. A boy taking lessons told his mother that he had been sexually assaulted by Arpon and police were notified.
During investigation into the report, police determined that Arpon had sexually assaulted another boy about two years earlier.
A hold has been placed on the defendant who will likely be deported to the Philippines when his prison sentence is completed.
