McMillan’s eighth-grade White team ran over Allen Ford 26-8 last week, with Dylan Anderson recording multiple long runs while leading the Marauders in rushing yards and touchdowns. On defense, Levi Brice recorded numerous tackles for losses.
The Marauder eighth-grade Black team fell 24-0 to Allen Ford last week, with Dillon Larue providing the team some energy via his second-half quarterback play.
Dezmond Adamson also made key tackles on third down.
In seventh-grade action, the Black team downed Ford 19-14 behind two touchdowns from Seth Keller, the player of the game, and one via Blake Fuller’s kickoff return.
Jordan Rubalcava scored three times for the seventh-grade White team in a 25-7 win. Rubalcava earned player of the game honors for his efforts, which also included a pair of conversion passes to Avery Bogart.

Cooper
The seventh-grade Maroon got bloodied 20-0 by Rockwall Williams, with Hussein Qattan playing well on both sides of the ball. Kai Paul, Kason McFadden and Zane Montgomery also shined in the defeat.
The seventh-grade White squad battled Williams, but fell 16-12 to their Rockwall-based foes. Standing out for the Patriots were Lagon Jeske, Josh Elizondo, Tristan Steward and Rajveer Dhesi.

Burnett
Rockwall Cain slew the eighth-grade Bucs’ Blue team 32-8, with Christian Jones scoring Burnett’s lone touchdown.
Andrew Duarte scored the eighth-grade White team’s lone touchdown in a 20-6 loss to Cain.
The seventh-grade White team fell 20-13 to Cain, with Angel Montillo and Colby Atkins scoring for the Bucs. Meanwhile, the seventh-grade Blue dropped a 26-8 decision to Cain.

Cooper volleyball
The eighth-grade Lady Patriot A team dropped Utley 25-11, 25-16 last week. Emma Crump had some timely blocks, while Cynthia Barraza had some key serves and Victoria Vo provided many hard kills
The eighth-grade B team got its first win last week, downing Utley 25-15, 17-25, 25-10.  Isabella Troquille had some amazing sets and serves in the victory. Also, the C team came out on top, defeating Utley 26-24, 27-25. Faith Kleiman had some awesome hits, while Camryn Watkins had several aces.
The Cooper seventh-graders also had some success, with the Maroon recording a 25-16, 25-22 win over the Lady Wolves, with aggressive serves coming from Tayah Little and Vanessa Peon. Tinsley Loney and Ana Heath had aggressive attacks to put Cooper on top in the first half of the second set.
The Lady Patriots’ seventh-grade White team played neck and neck in the first set against the Lady Wolves.
However, an aggressive offense from Carringtyn Johnson and Caitlyn Fusion helped the Lady Patriots stay on top, and Katie Nguyen had killer serves the Lady Wolves couldn’t answer in a 25-23, 25-12 victory for Cooper.
The seventh-grade Blue team struggled in the serve-receive area and fell 25-19, 25-17.

Burnett volleyball
The seventh-grade Maroon outlasted Royse City last week, dropping their foes 25-18, 11-25, 25-23, while the Lady Bucs’ White squad fell 20-25, 25-20, 14-25.
Meanwhile, the seventh-grade Blue swept Royse City 25-16, 26-24.

McMillan volleyball
The Lady Marauder eighth-grade White squad dropped a three-game decision to Allen Curtis, 25-16, 13-25, 22-25, while the Black fell 11-25, 11-25. The eighth-grade Maroon also suffered a setback, falling 3-25, 6-25 to Curtis.
McMillan’s seventh-grade White dropped a 15-25, 18-25 decision, while the Black fell 14-25, 13-25. The Maroon lost 18-25, 6-25 to Curtis.
