Wylie ISD boys basketball

The Wylie Pirates secured the No. 4 seed out of 10-5A with a 71-44 win over Wylie East during Tuesday’s regular-season finale at Wylie High School. The Pirates will play Frisco Liberty 6 p.m. Monday at Plano High School in the first round of the basketball playoffs. Wylie finished 9-5 in the 10-5A standings.
Noah Whitworth led Wylie with 22 points, while Sam Pybus added 13. Justin Bailey’s 13 points was tops for the Raiders (8-6), with Jared Wyatt and Garrett Mayberry each adding eight.
