Lady Raiders make playoffs

Wylie East’s Lady Raiders clinched fourth place, and a playoff spot as well, with a 53-29 victory Tuesday over Sherman. The Lady Raiders finished the regular season 7-7 and will meet the District 9-5A champion in next week’s bi-district round. The Lady Pirates concluded the regular season 5-9 following a 55-31 loss to McKinney North.

On the boys’ side, the Pirates and Raiders are now in a three-way tie for third and fourth with McKinney following Tuesday’s action; Wylie fell 65-50 to McKinney North, while Wylie East roasted Sherman 80-63. North leads 10-5A at 10-2, with Prosper in second at 9-3.
