Jan. 21 the Wylie Pirate Debate Team became district champions. The team of Jacob Williams and Akash Sharma made it to the final round, without losing a single ballot, and beat the top seed for both Lovejoy and Prosper to become the District 5A champions. They will be competing at the State Finals for CX at UT in Austin March 17-19. Pictured from left are Jacob and Akash.
