Wylie’s boys basketball improved to 4-0 in District 10-5A with a 49-31 win Tuesday over Lovejoy. In other action, Wylie East’s boys are now 2-2 after beating Denison 48-46, while the Lady Raiders are 3-3 following a 54-37 thumping of Denison. The Lady Pirates are 2-4 after falling 51-35 to Lovejoy.
The Pirates and Lady Pirates will host McKinney North this Friday, while East will play Friday at Sherman. North’s boys are tied with Wylie for the district lead, while on the girls’ side, the Lady Raiders tied for fourth with Lovejoy behind Prosper (6-0), McKinney North (5-1) and McKinney (4-2).
