Wylie’s Lady Pirates defeated Skyline 4-0 Thursday during the Andie Studley Memorial at Wylie Stadium, while JV girls beat Ursuline 1-0.
Bailey Wardwell and Hailey Gonzales each had two goals for the Lady Pirates’ varsity, while Madison Klieman scored the JV goal. The JV team faces Plano East noon today at Wylie Stadium, followed by the Lady Pirates’ varsity against Lake Highlands.

Wylie’s boys’ varsity fell 2-1 Friday to Kilgore at the Allen Tournament, with Alex Long getting his team’s lone goal on a free kick. The Pirates’ JV tied Kilgore 1-1 at the same tournament on Jared Douthit’s goal off an assist by Dylon Beyers.
Evans Wiggle and Wariebi Jituboh each scored a goal — Johnny Hanifan assisted both times — in a 2-0 win over Frisco Liberty on Jan. 2.

The Wylie East boys dropped a 4-3 decision to Longview Pine Tree on Jan. 4. In previous contests on Jan. 1, they defeated Lakeview Centennial 3-1 and Mesquite Horn 2-0.
