When 13-year-old Chloe Barnes entered the Workman Publishing Co. calendar competition in February she never imagined her entry would be selected. The photograph that was chosen for the publication was of her cat, Charlotte, sitting on a swing set.

Chloe said she was surprised to hear that her submission had been chosen.

“I came home one day and there was a package addressed to me sitting on my doorstep,” Chloe said. “I had not ordered anything recently and I couldn’t imagine what it could be.”

Chloe Barnes' photo of her cat Charlotte sitting on the family swingset was recently published in a nationally sold calendar, "365 Days of Cats."
