RICHARDSON — A year ago, following losses to Sachse and Mesquite Poteet, the Pirates discovered a cure in Richardson, whipping the Eagles 56-6. That victory set the tone for the rest of the 2014 season, one in which they captured a District 10-5A crown.

The season resumes Sept. 25 at McKinney in the 10-5A opener for both teams. All eight district teams will be idle this weekend.
