For as much success as the Wylie volleyball team has had in recent years, the one thing that had eluded the Lady Pirates, especially their seniors, was a playoff win.

Wylie can now cross out that goal.

The Lady Pirates recovered from a sluggish start to defeat Rockwall-Heath in four sets by scores of 23-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-23 from Caddo Mills High School on Monday to earn their first playoff win since the 2020 season.

Wylie (33-7) will play the winner of Tuesday’s match between Waxahachie and Bryan in the area round later this week.
