A group of individuals representing area nonprofits for eight years met last week to discuss ways to unify and amplify their effort to help community members in need.
The group, known as the Wylie Community Resources Group, is comprised of local food pantries and other charitable organizations. Under the direction of Jon Bailey, they have been meeting since 2016 to pool resources and brainstorm ways to support area citizens.
Most members have been attending meetings on a semi-regular basis since 2016 and now want to make it more official by establishing a board, having regular meetings and becoming a lead agency.
