Robots aid homebound students

A homebound Wylie student can get the benefit of a live lecture from Draper Intermediate School mathematics teacher Kelsey Biasatti through use of one of three special robots.  A special mobile robot with audio / visual feeds, sits in a classroom as a stand-in for a homebound Wylie student.

With the help of some space age technology, homebound students in Wylie Independent School District can still attend classes and interact with their classmates through the use of robots.

The interactive robots allow a student to participate in classroom discussions, ask questions and “walk” down hallways to change rooms or head to the cafeteria.
